Phillip Miers IEng AMIStructE CMaPS

PGM Structural Ltd was formed by Phillip Miers, a Structural Engineer and construction health & safety practitioner with over 30 years experience in all aspects of the construction industry.

After spending the early years of his career within the public sector working for the Department of the Environment, Phil moved into a commercial role with a large manufacturing PLC before settling into private practice in early 2000. The next 20 years was taken up successfully working on a diverse range of construction projects for clients across all sectors of the construction industry.

Phil's experience covers everything from small domestic/residential developments through to large defence projects both UK and overseas. In recent years Phil has also become heavily involved within the healthcare sector and has undertaken numerous projects for NHS trusts throughout London and the south-east.

Despite the difficulties within the UK economy due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Phil launched PGM Structural Ltd in 2020 making high quality, fast turnaround and affordable structural engineering consultancy available to clients from all sectors within Kent & Sussex. The company got off to an immediate flying start and continues to go from strength to strength.

Phil holds Incorporated Engineer status with the Engineering Council and associate membership of the Institution of Structural Engineers, is a certified member of the Association for Project Safety and also a BOHS P402 certified Asbestos surveyor. As such all projects undertaken by PGM Structural Ltd are overseen by Phil personally, whatever their size or complexity.
